Where soul meets
craftsmanship

Roho Atelier was founded on a simple belief: that the world’s finest coffees deserve a more intentional path from farm to roaster. We work directly with Kenyan cooperatives and private estates to source exceptional green beans for Australia’s specialty coffee community.

“Roho” means soul in Swahili. “Atelier” is French for workshop. Together, they capture exactly what we do — bringing the soul of East African coffee into the workshops of Australia’s finest roasters.

The Kenyan highlands

Kenya’s Central Highlands produce some of the world’s most prized coffees. Volcanic red soil, high altitude, and equatorial rainfall create ideal conditions for the SL28 and SL34 varietals that define the Kenyan cup character.

We source from cooperative washing stations and private estates in Kenya’s premier growing regions, ensuring full traceability from cherry to green bean.
